She was predeceased by: her parents, John Randall Mothershead and Margaret Barrack Mothershead; her husband Beverly James Atkins; her sister Frances M. McKenney; and her daughter-in-law Robin Winston Atkins.
She is survived by: her sons, Randall Atkins, Steven Atkins (Susan) and Paul Atkins (Lisa); her brother John R. Mothershead (Jean); her sisters-in-law, Shirley Atkins Smith and Ella Massey Atkins; her grandchildren, Meghan, Drew and Rachel; her stepgranddaughter Michelle Waldron (Dave); her son Ryan (Margaret); her grandsons, Harrison and Bennett; her son Brandon (Jeanie); her grandchildren, Loretta and Raymond; her stepson Brad Marshall (Lindsay); her stepgranddaughter Evie; her grandson John (Katie); her great grandchildren, Joselyn and Holton; and also, Lilly and Cooper. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bliley's Funeral Home (8510 Staples Mill Rd, Richmond, VA 23228). A memorial service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Vernon Baptist Church (11220 Nuckols Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23059). A burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Westhampton Memorial Park (10000 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23233).
