He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Roy Campbell and Winifred Pearce Campbell; his brother Luther Roy Campbell, Jr.; his sister-in-law JoAnn Campbell; and his nephew Christopher Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Johnson Campbell; his children, Margaret Campbell Ullrich (Chris), David Pearce Campbell, Jr. (Jennifer) and Winifred "Windy" Bartlett Campbell; his grandchildren, Tinsley Ullrich Moore, Anne Garland Ullrich, Caroline Christian Ullrich, Pearce Moncure Campbell and Jacob Wheless Campbell; his sisters-in-law, Frances Lee-Vandell and Peggy Talley Lee; his nieces and nephews, Alletta Bode-Griss, Frances Herrington, Ann Hays Cosentino, Karen Sonier, Dan Talley, Tommy Talley and Richard Pearce; and his pet Barney.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Episcopal Church (12291 River Rd, Richmond, VA 23238). A reception was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Country Club of Virginia, Westhampton (6031 St Andrews Ln, Richmond, VA 23226). A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Hollywood Cemetery (412 S Cherry St, Richmond, VA 23220).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 12291 River Road, Richmond, VA 23238.
