It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David James Rackley (Richmond, Virginia), born in Hopewell, Virginia, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora Belle Rackley (Harris) and Wade Hampton Rackley; and his sister Alma Congdon. He is survived by: his wife Judith Ferguson Rackley; his siblings, Yvonne Laliberte, Richard Rackley (Carol) and Roy Rackley (Wanda); his children, Kimberly Ibarra (Edward) and Kevin Rackley; his stepchildren, Jerry Ferguson (Sandra), Ronald Ferguson (Tammie) and Randy Ferguson; his stepgrandson Troy Wiggins (Misty); and his grandchildren, Staci Coyner (Keith), Rick Mallory Jr., Stuart Cole, Alyssa Rackley, Trevor Rackley, Eren Rackley, Jordan Ferguson (Amy), Kaye Marie Lott (Jacob), Wrenn Shrewsbury (Stephen), Ashley Ferguson Southern, Savannah Ferguson, Sarah Ferguson, Ethan Wiggins (Taylor) and Emily Wiggins. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bliley's Funeral Home (6900 Hull St Rd, Richmond, VA 23224). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In remembrance of David, donations to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital can be made in place of flowers.
