With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Edward Wood in Richmond, Virginia, born in Portsmouth, Ohio, who passed away on August 30, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Olive Wood and George Wood; and his cousin Johnny Scott. He is survived by: his wife Shari; his children, Travis Wood and Sarah; his son-in-law Oliver Smith; his granddaughter Olivia Smith; his nieces, Ashley Lubetkin and Lizette Ellman; and his cousins, Jane Cleary, Lindy Scott, Alvin Kolp and Harriet Eakin. He is also survived by his loving family and many wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation, Disabled American Veterans, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Jewish National Fund, or the charity of your choice.
