He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Utley and Janie Utley; his daughter Cheryl; and his brothers, Jacob, Kelly, Carl and Julian.

He is survived by: his wife Marion; his children, Iris, Chandler and Bernard; and his goddaughter Josette. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
