As Charles departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Charles leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Clifford Carter and Vera Katherine Carter; and his sister Avery Berry Conway. He is survived by: his siblings, Lawrence Carter (Tanya), Shirley Heath Deloach, Frances Carter Thompson (Willie) and Ray Anthony Bruner; and his daughter Serena Staglin. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
