Though Cedric Watkins may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his wife Hilda Hodges Yates; and his parents, Cedric W. Yates, Sr. and Gladys Bellam Yates. He is survived by: his sons, Cedric Yates, III (Lynn), Joseph L. Yates (Becky) and D. Matthew Yates (Judy); and his brother Lonnie W. Yates (Jackie). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great – grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church (1214 Wilmer Ave, Richmond, VA 23227).
