It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettie D. Hill of Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on March 25, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Bettie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bettie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She is survived by: her husband Rev. James T. Hill, Sr. of Richmond; her sons, James T. Hill, Jr. of Richmond and Jonathan D. Hill of Maryland; and her brother George Dean Jr. of Richmond.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Mt. Olive Baptist Church (7820 Newtown Rd, St Stephens Church, VA 23126). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (4000 Pilots Ln, Richmond, VA 23222).
