She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Cameron Lyons and Oreta Bell Lyons; her husband Gary Basham; her son Dennis Taylor; and her sister Shirley Horkey.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Dwayne Taylor and Angelia Darlene Peterson; and her brother Larry Lyons. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Colonial Grove Memorial Park (3445 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456).
