He was predeceased by: his parents, George Pruitt and Mary White Pruitt Hagerman; his wife Sandra Lee Grove Pruitt; his siblings, Curtis, John, James, Paul, Ocie Byrd, Gracie Pruitt Hess and Georgia Pruitt; his half-sister Molly Hagerman Wilhyatt; and his great grandchild Scarlet Pruitt.
He is survived by: his sons, Roger Keith Pruitt (Tiawanna) of Garland, TX and James Thomas Pruitt (Tilda Hagy) of Falls Mills, VA; his siblings, Maudie Pruitt Allen and Rufus Pruitt; and his grandchildren, Cameron Lee Pruitt (Kimberly), Taina Andrews Pruitt, Eddieriah Andrews Pruitt, Taj Fulfond Pruitt, Tawaraii Fulfond Pruitt, Jacob Lee Pruitt and Lindsey Michelle Pruitt.
