He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Haynes and Ethel Beatty Haynes; his wife Dotty; and his siblings, Eugene Haynes and Betty Haynes Bechtel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Farmer (Roger) of Richlands, VA, Joyce Haynes and Meredith York Gilbert (Jason) of Pounding Mill, VA; his brother William D. Haynes (Mada) of Fort Wayne, IN.; his siblings-in-law, Carol Joyce Hogston of Cedar Bluff, VA and Bill Ray Joyce (Naomi) of Gray, TN.; his grandchildren, Julie Farmer of Myrtle Beach, SC, Elliott Hughes Hess of Charleston, WV and Paxton Casey of Richlands, VA.; and his great grandchildren, Kele Nova, Christian, Dylan and Bleu A.
