With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Day (Richlands, Virginia), who passed away on August 10, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Barry Day; his parents, Gilbert Day and Nellie Melissa Steele Day; and his siblings, Billy, Albert, Fred Day, Elsie Harman, Greta Blankenship, Laura and Lucy Mitchell.

He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Cole (Roger) of Bearwallow, Virginia, Renaye Dillon (Larry) of New Kent, Virginia and Cindy Johnson (Glen) of Abingdon, Virginia.; his grandchildren, Jennifer Cole Looney (Joe), Andrea Cole Smith (Mark), Joshua Robert Lee Cole, Sharon Lonergan (Chris), Ryan Dillon (Nicole) and Cara Hoover (Jason); his great grandchildren, Violet Grace Looney, Elinor, Jackson Hoover, Caleb Hoover and Collin Hoover; and his sister Joyce Tiller. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews as well as many families and friends.
