He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Cecil and Gladys Stevenson Griffith; his daughter Gladys Griffith; and his brothers, Jack Griffith, Clyde Griffith and Ellis Griffith.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Miller of Richlands, Virginia Tammy Mabe (Keith) and John Griffith (Michelle); his sisters, June Sparks and Truena Taylor of Paintlick, VA; his grandchildren, Scotty Miller, Michael Miller, Elizabeth Griffith, Amanda Sweeney, Danielle Key, Adrienna Griffith and Austin Griffith; and his great grandchildren, Ashton, Elijah, Rylee, Lance and Emma A.
