She is survived by: her sons, Perry Gilbert, Jr. (Patti) of Cedar Bluff, VA, Jerry W. Gilbert (Cindy) of Pounding Mill, VA and Donnie E. Gilbert (Melonie) of Cedar Bluff, VA.; her grandchildren, Perry Gilbert (Jenny), Nathan Gilbert, Sarah Gilbert, Joseph Gilbert, Nick Gilbert (Sydney), Isaac Gilbert and Izzy Gilbert; her great grandchildren, Orien Altman (Sidney), Skylar Altman, Arayah Altman, Balian Gilbert and Reece Gilbert; her sisters, Frances Lester and Vivian Beavers; her sister-in-law Naomi Gilbert; her close friend Delores Mulkey; and her caregivers, Joan Fugate and Jan Howington. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
