She was predeceased by: her husband Harry Roger Counts; and her granddaughter Sara Counts. She is survived by: her children, Harriet Anita, Ellen Juanita, Veda Iris, Roger Lloyd, Randall Stuart and Mary Anna; her siblings, Jean Lee, Betty McReynolds, Lloyd Davis and Early Davis; her children, Mitchell Counts (Tamina Nunn), Rebecca Kahila, Tony Counts and Mark Counts (Susan Webb); her sister Evelyn Dales of Cedar Bluff; and her grandchildren, Mike, Amy Matney Shawn (Veda), Patrick Counts (Mitchell), Cliff, Joe Kahila, Stephanie Kinnan-Young (Rebecca), Emily Chmielewfki (Mary), Nathan, Zack Counts (Tony), Tyler Marshall (Mary), Benjamin, Nick and Alex Webb Counts (Mark). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren in addition to many nieces and nephews.
