He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Thacker and Lacy Griffitts Thacker; and his brother Jerry Thacker. He is survived by: his wife Susan Thompson Thacker; his daughter Sara Woods (Anthony); his grandson Mason Thacker Woods; and his siblings, Tom Thacker (Linda), Mary Lou Wilson and Sandra Chamberlin (Bill). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
