He was predeceased by: his father Junior Wesley Farmer; his daughter Mackenzie Rose Farmer; and his siblings, Mincie Taylor, Wilma Farmer and Austin Perry Farmer.
He is survived by: his mother Ruby Viola Hagy Younts of Richlands, Virginia; his son Preston Allen Farmer of Richlands, Virginia.; and his siblings, Sylvia Johnson (Johnny) of Richlands, Velma Martin (Tim) of Richlands, Virginia and Ralph Farmer (Jonoka) of Ahoskie.
