He was predeceased by: his father James A.; and his siblings, James Arthur Hess, Jr., John Marvin Hess, Howard H. Hess, George P. Hess, Nanola "Nance" Hess and Betty Stevens.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his daughter Martha Jessee (Jeff); his grandson Marcus Lee Jessee; and his siblings, Bill Hess, Mary Jane Hurt and Helen Hess. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
