He is survived by: his wife Jennie Ellen Rutter Ball of Richlands; his children, Kathryn Patton (James) of Bluefield and Jerry Allen Ball of Claypool Hill, Virginia; his sister Virginia Hardy of Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Samantha Barnes, Joshua Barnes, Aiden Grayson Gearheart, Isaiah Waters and Abraham Waters.
