He was predeceased by: his parents, Galelma Julian Butcher and Lola Burroughs Butcher. He is survived by: his wife Earlene Joy Butcher; his children, Galelma Julian Butcher, III of Chico, TX, Kathryn Ann Butcher of Knoxville, TN and Earl Scott Butcher (Terry Dye Butcher) of Richlands, VA; his granddaughters, Annie Marie Scott Butcher and Elizabeth Joy Butcher of Richlands, VA; his brother Byron Thomas Butcher (Betty Land Butcher) of Knoxville, TN; and his sister-in-law Joselene Joy Carson of Concord, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
