He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Cox, Sr. and Ruby Grey Lamie Cox; his wife Judith A. Long Cox; and his siblings, Emily Ann Cox, Tom Cox and Dan Cox.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amanda G. Cox Winegar (Daniel) of Rogersville, TN and Robin Hargis Norris (Barry) of Gulfport, MS; his siblings, Connie Coleman of Martinsville, VA, Bonnie Floyd (Mike) of Dyersburg, TN, Ruth Nelson (Mike) of Richlands, VA, Nancy McGee (John) of Jackson, OH and Bill Cox of Richlands, VA; and his grandchildren, Lauren Flores, Dylan Flores, Eli Winegar and Ethan Winegar. He is also survived by Several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
