It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Pauline Cook Mullins of Richlands, Virginia, born in Jewell Ridge, Virginia, who passed away on October 25, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Paul Cook and Dorothy Burke Cook; her sister Barbara Stevens; her grandson Paul Steven Mullins; and her stepfather Clyde Cook.
She is survived by: her sons, Minister James Mullins (Patty), Jeff Mullins (Jackie) and Patrick Mullins (Lorraine); her brother Paul Ellis Cook (Bonnie); her grandchildren, KeriBeth Schrage (Luke), Philip Mullins (Julie) and Ellie Mullins; her great grandchildren, Ariella, Everleigh and Olivia; her nieces, Rhonda Nease (Gary), Paula Jackson (Richard) and Ami Stiltner; her nephew Daniel Stevens (Brenda); her sister-in-law Jenny Hagy; her friends, Pat and Brian Martin; and her caregiver Ann Cantrell.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home (1401 2nd St, Richlands, VA 24641). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jewel Ridge Presbyterian Church, Jewell Ridge Virginia or the organization of your choice.
