It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Dean Stinson (Richlands, Virginia), who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Cleo Hess Stinson; his son Dwayne Keith Hicks; and his siblings, Marie Lowe, Peggy Yates, Katherine Stinson, Geneva Short, Beverly Jean Sargent, Hubert Cummings Stinson, James Stinson and Tom Stinson.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Meadows Stinson; his daughters, Marla Fields (Ray) of Richlands and Ashlie Marshall (Jeff) of Chilhowie, Virginia; his siblings, Carol Stepp (Donald) of Thomasville, NC, Rhonda Harold (Michael Bradshaw) of Tazewell, Virginia and Danny Stinson (Sherri) of Cedar Bluff; his grandchildren, Dylan Hicks, Chance Marshall, Riley Salyers, Skyler Fields, Jillian Hicks, Jackson Hicks and Bryson Marshall; and his great grandchildren, Carter Hicks and Oaklynn Marshall.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home (1401 2nd St, Richlands, VA 24641). A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
