It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Jewell Reed of Rich Creek, Virginia, who passed away on January 10, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Randolph Meadows and Alva Nita Thomas Meadows; her husband Avery Gene Reed; and her siblings, Carlos Ray Meadows, Norma Jean Meadows Thompson and Noretta Gaye Meadows Griggs.
She is survived by: her sons, William Steven Reed (Elizabeth) of Raleigh, NC and Timothy Alan Reed, Sr. (Linda) of Princeton, WV; her grandchildren, Christopher Reed, Sean Reed, Bryan Reed (Vanessa), Delnora Reed Acuff (Howie) and Alan Reed (Cassie); her great grandchildren, Joshua, Sophia, Lena, Brylan, Avery, Hutson, Easton, Caelan, Bryce, Reed Acuff and Brighton; her siblings, Clarence Jackson Meadows (Kathy) of Pulaski and Carol Faye Meadows Thorne (Oakie) of Pearisburg; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Meadows of Rich Creek, Marge Reed of Clarksville, TN, Dean and Baby. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
