He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Horn Schmidt; his children, Cody Schmidt (Caitlin) of Worsham, VA, Ron Andrews (Patricia) of Meherrin, VA., Shelley Jordan (Gino) of Glen Allen, VA and Rebecca Hailey-Tompkins (Leslie) of Jetersville, VA.; and his sisters, Mary Ann Faucette (Gene) and Jackie Davis.
