It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Samuel Lee Thompson of Rice, Virginia, who passed away on September 19, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Lucy Bowman Thompson; his son Sammy Jr.; his parents, Oscar Thompson and Sallie Thompson; and his siblings, James Rouse Thompson and Mary Frances Overton.

He is survived by: his daughter Lucy; and his neighbors, Fred and Carol Hines. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pisgah Baptist Church, 202 Pisgah Church RD, Rice, VA 23966 or the Rice Vol.
