He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Bowman and Louisa Bowman; his siblings, Walter, Ralph, Corbett, Acie, Columbus Bowman, Lillian Duncan, Jocie Berry, Della Murray and Lucy Thompson; and his granddaughter Erika Bowman.
He is survived by: his wife Blondell Metcalf Bowman; his children, Riley David Bowman Jr. (Tyra) of Rice, Daniel Lee Bowman (Amy) of Farmville, Donna Bowman Nunnally (Dwayne) and Dianne Bowman Daniel (Dennis) of Rice; and his sister Florence Miles. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
