He was predeceased by: his grandson Edward Camden Herndon Kent. He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Davis Herndon; his daughter Elizabeth Herndon Kent (Kenny Kent); his grandchildren, Robert Wyatt Herndon Kent and Peyton Jack Herndon Kent; his brother-in-law Milton Kennon; his niece Susan Kennon Burnett; and his nephew Gordon Kyle Kennon (Rebecca Feldman Kennon). He is also survived by six great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Rhoadesville Baptist Church Cemetery Association or Hospice of the Piedmont in honor of Cleeshai Milam, the hospice nurse who became a member of Irving's family.
