She was predeceased by: her parents, Brady E. Chapman and Beulah Atwell; and her siblings, Edgar Lee Chapman, David Jackson Chapman, Betty L. Chapman and Norin J. Livingston.
She is survived by: her son Earl Lee Mesimer. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
A reception was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory (31440 Constitution Hwy, Locust Grove, VA 22508).
