He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee Baumgardner and Helen Rogers Baumgardner; his wife Margaret Bailey Baumgardner; his sons, Roger Baumgardner, Jr. and Robert Baumgardner; and his siblings, JoAnne Petty, Mary Ellen Revoir and Lee Roy Baumgardner.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tracey Shifflett (James) and April Fincham (Denny); and his great grandchildren, Cayden Eiser and Landon Pullen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the Madison County Animal Shelter, 4590 Shelby Rd, Madison, VA 22727.
