He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel "Manny" Varsalona and Mary "May" Varsalona (Debrowski). He is survived by: his wife Carol Varsalona (Waldo); his children, Derek Varsalona and Devin Hartnett; his son-in-law Michael Hartnett; his granddaughters, Sierra, Aurora and Lila Hartnett; and his sister-in-law Joyce Leoenlli.
