He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Prescott and Elizabeth Prescott; his wife Mary Lu Prescott; his son Phelps; his daughter-in-law Wendy Prescott; his daughters, Mary Prescott and Elizabeth; his son-in-law Dan Deakin; his grandchildren, Brian and Michelle Prescott; his siblings, Pam Pahl and Robert; his siblings-in-law, Joan Prescott and Charles Pahl; and his brother Phelps Prescott. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

But, in continuing to serve his country, in lieu of flowers he would prefer everyone donate to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, one of a few non-profits serving all Veterans from all eras.
