He was predeceased by: his wife Selma; his son-in-law Kim Morris; and his siblings, Piedad Murgueitio, Jose, Luis and Aida Carvajal.
He is survived by: his brother Manuel Carvajal; his children, Sonia Izurieta (Augusto), Fernando Carvajal, Catalina Donoso (Alberto), Susana Gilardi (Gustavo), Ann C. Morris and Paulina Hidalgo (Jorge); his grandchildren, Alberto, Cathy, Cristi, David, Sebastian, Melissa, Marisol, Nicole, Ana C. and Nicolas; and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Ian, Kareem and Roman.
