It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Elder McConnell of Reston, Virginia, born in Bronx, New York, who passed away on March 8, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Margaret "Peg" Mattat; his parents, Mary O'Connor and Edward; and his siblings, Edna Henke and Bob.

He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his son Jef (Pam) of Lansdowne; and his nieces, Mary Shaver of Fairfax County and Nancy Shaver of Reston.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Fairfax County Humane Society or another animal cause.
