He is survived by: his wife Marcia Marple Stowers; his children, Michelle Sonnenfeldt (Stewart), John Stowers (Mary), Jennifer Loveranes (Mario) and Paula Stowers; his grandchildren, Trenton, Katherine Sonnenfeldt, Rachel (Justin Coleman), John, Joshua (Anastasia), Emma, Lawrence, Elizabeth Stowers, Jacob and Jayden Loveranes; his great grandchildren, Arthur and Margaret Coleman; his brother Daniel (Carolyn); his nephew David; and his nieces, Amy and Susan.
