It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Carter Robertson Sr. of Reedville, Virginia, who passed away on December 20, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Ryland and Eva Bray Robertson; and his siblings, Paul Revere (Ann), R. "Reds" Lindwood (Alliene), John Ryland (Ruth), Joseph "Snap" Chester (Lucille), Naoma Vanlandingham (Carroll), Ralph Manning (Marie), Eva "Biddie" Robertson Haynie (Warner), Raymond (Rose) and Iona Bliss Robertson.
He is survived by: his children, Dorothy "Dottie" Longest, Howard Carter Robertson, Jr. (Denise) and Otelia Rebecca "Becky" Robertson; his grandchildren, Howard Carter Robertson, III (Candace) and Jessie Robertson (Kenny); and his great grandchildren, Howard Carter Robertson, IV, Aiden, Koby, Harper Robertson, Deaton Warren and Dade Zoldork.
