It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clayton Leonard Parkinson of Reedville, Virginia, who passed away on March 6, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert John "Jack" Parkinson and Pauline Thomson Parkinson; and his brother Robert "Bobby" Parkinson. He is survived by: his wife Francine Aldredge Parkinson; his sister Sandra Friend; his daughters, Kimberley Fleetwood (Allan) and Crystal Parkinson; his stepchildren, Fred Chniel, Ingrid Skala and George Sneed; his grandchildren, Daniel Hays, Robert Hays, Douglas Wnuk, Andrea Wieczorek, Samantha Walker, George Sneed II, Robert Fleetwood, James Fleetwood, Caitlin Hospodar, Mariah, Danica and Dax; and his great grandchildren, Liam Wieczorek, Rylee Hays, Harrison Hays, Charlotte Hays, Jocelyn Hays, Alicen Fleetwood, Caroline Walker, Evelyn Walker, Georgia Sneed and Beverly Sneed.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Currie Funeral Home (116 E Church St, Kilmarnock, VA 22482). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery (10300 Pridesville Rd, Amelia Court House, VA 23002).
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert "Bobby" Parkinson.
