He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Blaine Bandy and Jenny Phyllis Brewster Bandy; his sister Christine Rasnake; and his stepsister Crystal Bandy. He is survived by : his wife Judy Karen Bandy; his children, Justin Nathaniel Bandy (Tiffany) of Richlands, Virginia and Ashley Marie Wells of Raven, Virginia; his brother Harold Bandy of Statesville; his half-siblings, Loretta Hope Smith of Tazewell, Virginia, Vernon Bandy of Switzerland and Scott Bandy of Tazewell, Virginia; his grandchildren, Jordan Wells, Kaley Wells, Walker Wells and Carlee Nichole Bandy; his stepgrandchildren, Kaylee Counts, Alyssa Counts and Dylan Counts; and his great grandchild Cayde Shelton.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home (1401 2nd St, Richlands, VA 24641). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
