He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivory Jean Dye Horn (Henry Horn) and Robert C. Elder; his daughter Angela Nicole Elder; and his brothers, Larry Horn, Perry Horn and Danny Elder.
He is survived by: his children, Jeanie Marie Wray, Mary K. Reynolds (Matthew) and Robert Ryan Elder (LeeAnna); his siblings, Patricia Horton (Rocky) of Raven, Virginia, Nellie Maynard (Jim) of Raven, Tammy Street (Mitchell) of Raven, Margaret Dye (Don) of Richlands, Pam Wiles, Robbie Lisenbe of Tampa, Florida and Roger Dale Campbell; and his grandchildren, Keisha Danielle Elder, Adasyn Nicole Lynn Shortridge, Kaden Johnson, Kolby Johnson, Blake Ryan Elder and Jonathan Gage Elder.
