It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ricky Dean Shortt of Raven, Virginia, who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Oliver Short and Barbara Lorraine Stillwell Short; and his siblings, Lorraine Shortt, James "Jim" Shortt, Willard Shortt and Donald Shortt.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Shortt; his son Jacob Shortt; his grandson James Goodson; his siblings, Darrell Shortt (Judy), Norma Keen (John), Sue Newberry, Patsy McGlothlin (Darnell) and Lisa Shelor (David); and his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Shortt and Marcella Shortt. He is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.
