It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Vernon (Raven, Virginia), who passed away on March 17, 2018, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Wells Vernon; his sons, Randy Vernon (Laura) of Raven, Brandon Vernon and Sarah Carty of Johnson City, TN; his siblings, Shelia Smith of Princeton, Nita Bandy of Middlesboro, KY, Harry Vernon, Jr. of Honaker and Charles Vernon (Gracie) of Tazewell, VA; and his granddaughter Baleigh Vernon of Johnson City. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and host of family and friends.
