It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Marie Asbury of Raven, Virginia, born in Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on November 26, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Asbury and Goldie Lafferty Asbury; her son Andrew Daniel Proffitt; her sister Judy Marrs; and her nephew George Travis Tuggle.
She is survived by: her daughter Melissa Moore (Richard) of Raven, VA; her grandchildren, Kourtni "Corkey" Betcher, Keli Jo Groseclose, Hannah Groseclose, Ethan Moore, Dominic Moore and George Moore; her stepgrandsons, Daniel Moore, Zach Moore and Ben Moore; her sisters, Retta Edwards (George), Angela Tuggle (Dewey) and Deloris Yates; and her stepdaughter Shelby Davis.
