With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Othie Rife of Raven, Virginia, born in Buchanan, Virginia, who passed away on May 11, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jennings Bryant and Flore Boyd Owens; her husband Reece Rife; her granddaughter Linda Mae Viers; her siblings, Thelma Stiltner, Hazel Ratliff, Robe Owens, Irvin Owens and Carmel Owens; her sons-in-law, Williams Billy Webb, Wallace Underwood and Monroe Horn; and her stepdaughter Carol Rife.

She is survived by: her children, Gena Blankenship (William) of Raven, Connie Blankenship (Marty) of Raysal, Christine Underwood of Tazewell, Darlene Horn of Paynesville, Wanda Rife of Slate Creek, Vandelene Shelton (Herman) of Abingdon, Wilma Webb of Sevierville, Tennessee and Danny Rife (Annie) of Jolo; her stepchildren, Randal Rife of Abingdon, Jackie Rife of Marion, Benny Horn of Alabama, Brenda Shelton of Paynesville, Teresa Dye of Swords Creek and Mary Pierce of Marion; her grandchildren, Jennifer Warden (Robert Fields), Daniel Kennedy, Rita Viers, Jesse Viers, Logan Viers, Sandra Viers, Billy Viers, Christopher Blankenship, Stephanie Bailey, Markie Blankenship, Rodney Horn, Dedra Keen, Betty Martin, David Shelton, Jackie Salewasky, James Underwood, Johnny Underwood, Michael Underwood, Darrell Webb, Becky Webb Monk, Donnie Rife, Wanda Robertson, Anna McClanahan, Jason Rife, Dale Rife, Marlene Johnson and Deanna Kimbrough; her brothers, Leon Owens and Burbage Owens (Val); and her great grandchildren, Kaylea Warden and Skyler Fields. She is also survived by fifty-five great-grandchildren.
