She is survived by: her grandsons, Zach, Parker and Avery; her husband Buford Eugene Short; her children, Natalie Short Wright (Rick) of Richlands, Virginia and David Short (Jamie) of Raven, Virginia; her siblings, Betty Payne of Mansfield, Ohio and Buddy Blankenship of Sparta; and her close friend Lois Salyers of Christiansburg.
