He was predeceased by: his parents, Silvester Stilwell and Sallie Davis Stilwell; his wife Ida Stilwell; his son James Emory Stilwell; and his siblings, Beatrice Hart, Linda Justus, Belle Miller, Arie, Lundy, Curtis, Albert and Ken Stilwell.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Stilwell, Becky Keen (David) of Oakwood, VA, Melissa Miller (Danny) of Swords Creek, VA and Rosanna Vandyke of Oakwood, VA; his brothers, James "Jim" Stilwell of Raven, VA. and Thomas "Tom" Stilwell of Raven, VA.; and his grandchildren, Tabitha Keen, Derrick Stilwell, Aaron Stilwell, Natasha Seals, Misty Cook and Kristy Fletcher. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
