He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew McClanahan and Stella McClanahan (Wagner); his wife Jama Davene McClanahan (Sexton); and his siblings, Billy Prater, J. C. Prater, Mike McClanahan and Shirley Smith (Betty Lou Stiltner).
He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Danielle McClanahan Turner of Pulaski, VA and Andrea Davene Keen (Richard) of Raven, VA; his granddaughters, Aleyah McClanahan, Keisha McClanahan, Gracie McClanahan, Josie Keen and Sierra Keen; his brother Johnny Hall (Debra) of Greeneville, TN; and his friends, Theo Whitt, Joe Boyd and Harold Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel (22208 Riverside Dr, Grundy, VA 24614).
