It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Junior Newberry of Raven, Virginia, who passed away on August 28, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Newberry and Mary Short Newberry; and his siblings, Elbert Newberry, Frazier Newberry, James Newberry, Hazel Richardson, Madeline Vance, Sylvia Short, Pauline Muse and Juanita Byrd.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his daughters, Pamela Horne (Michael) and Patty Cooper (Rick); and his granddaughter Monica L. Cooper of Palm Coast, FL.

Due to COVID 19 pandemic, masks and social distancing will be observed and appreciated.
