He is survived by: his wife Helen Ann Lane; his son Bruce Aaron Lane (Jaime) of Lebanon, Virginia; his siblings, Nancy Brown of Grand Rapids, Peggy Lowe of Raven, Virginia and Wayne Lane (Linda) of Abingdon, Virginia.; and his grandchildren, Gwendolyn Lane, Chloe Lane, Sydney Lane and Timothy Ball.
