It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola Parker Staples of Rappahannock Academy, Virginia, who passed away on October 23, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Buck Staples; and her parents, Martin Parker and June Parker. She is survived by: her daughter Kate; her son-in-law Roy Courtney; her daughter Sheila Hall (Chris) of Louisa; her grandchildren, Chelsea Armstrong (Travis) of Caroline and Miguel Staples of Louisa; her great grandchildren, Tidus and Oliver Armstrong of Caroline; and her pets, Jack and Knucklehead. She is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service was held on October 26 at Historyland Memorial Park in King George.
Memorial donations may be made to the Caroline County Animal Shelter or Spotsylvania County Animal Shelter.
