He is survived by: his wife Carlene Cynthia Hart Viar; his son Harry Viar of Sperry, Virginia; his stepchildren, Jennifer Robinson (Kenny) of Asheboro, Anthony Minter (Carl) of Partlow and Richard Minter (Crystal) of Stafford, Virginia; his grandchildren, Sam, Ava and Miranda; and his siblings, Jeanette, Gail and Roy.
